10 Reasons Why You Can Lose Weight

Here are 10 reasons why you can lose weight

Moving out of Denial, U.S.A. last year was the hardest move I ever made.

Even though I weighed almost 400 pounds, I was convinced I was healthy. I would be lying to all of you if I told you it was easy, or that it didn't take every single ounce of strength and courage in me to make the move.

I walked away from dining tables in a rage, sulked in silence mourning the absence of my favorite foods from my life and reduced myself to tears when it got really hard.

I made up my mind that quitting was not an option, so I remain determined to see it through.

The hunger pains I feel every now and then, or the tired limbs I experience from exercising, can't hold a candle to all of the pain I felt in my life 185 pounds ago. So I put together this list for all of you, because there is plenty of room in Healthy and Fit U.S.A., and I want some new neighbors.

If you see yourself in even half of these reasons, you are ready to make the move, too. There are many successful people taking control of their lives instead of letting food control them. Come join us.

Here's why you can successfully lose weight:

10. You refuse to part with an article of clothing in your closet that is too small to fit you anymore, but you hope it will someday.

9. You often refer to "thinner days" with friends and acquaintances or at the very least reflect privately on thoughts of when you were thinner and physically able to do more than you do now.

8. You are the only one who knows what size you really wear or how tight your clothes are on you and only you can change that.

7. So many different weight reducing programs are on the market today; you can't possibly believe that every single one of them is not for you.

6. Some days you do not want to admit that you are depressed about your weight and you will chalk off your bad mood to a headache or a bad day at work.

5. You are stronger than any potato, bowl of spaghetti, candy bar or slice of bread on this earth. You are the human. Food is the object. You are the one with the power.

4. You already know how to exercise. You once learned to walk, you learned to run and swim, and it is time to call upon those activities again to help you get healthy.

3. You know how to read, so read food labels, substitute other foods for less fattening ones and read recipes to help you.

2. You are good at math. You know when you are adding pounds, so you will know when you are subtracting them.

1. You know in your heart and soul that you are worth more than the way you feel or the way other people treat you. Only you can polish the diamond called yourself.
